Wyatt Farm Picnic on Friday, Sept 18th

The Wyatt Farm Homeowner’s Association will sponsor a picnic for neighborhood residents on Friday, September 18th. It will be held at our evolving Commons area on the corner of Vinyard and Hardwick. We’ll have the grills going by 4:30 or so.

Skunk trap results

Due to the many problems caused by the large skunk population this year, the Wyatt Farm HOA Board arranged for skunk traps to be set throughout our neighborhood for two weeks in August. Fall debris pick up in October

The Town of Blacksburg will provide a Fall Cleanup for the Wyatt Farm neighborhood during the week of October 5th. This includes yard debris and brush. Details can be found here.

Pond Study Results

In March and April, Virginia Tech students conducted a study of the Wyatt Farm pond. Their conclusions include:

The pond supports a healthy largemouth bass population.
The population of small prey fish has declined and could benefit from minor structure enhancements.
The algae in the pond is typical and can be easily controlled.
